Virginie Lietaer

Virginie Lietaer's work experience includes serving as the Chief Legal Officer at Etex since 2020. Etex is a global building material manufacturer with over 11,000 employees. Prior to this, they were a Board Member at the Koninklijk Museum voor Schone Kunsten Antwerpen, where they managed an impressive collection of visual art. Before that, they held the position of General Counsel & Company Secretary at Nyrstar. Virginie also worked as a Senior Associate at Baker & McKenzie and O'Melveny & Myers LLP. Additionally, they served as an Associate at Baker & McKenzie.

Virginie Lietaer has a Master's degree from KU Leuven, which they obtained from 1993 to 1998. In 1996 to 1997, they also attended the University of Strasbourg. In 2007, they completed the QLTS program at QLTS School. Lastly, in 2013, they received a Certificate in Mining Law from York University - Osgoode Hall Law School.
