Melissa Tidwell

Melissa Tidwell is an accomplished legal professional with extensive experience in corporate law and governance. Currently serving as an Advisor and Investor at Ethena since March 2020, Tidwell focuses on harassment prevention training for modern teams. Most recently, from August 2021 to December 2023, Tidwell held the position of Global General Counsel at Prosus Group, specializing in EdTech. Previously, from May 2015 to June 2019, Tidwell was the VP, General Counsel & Corporate Secretary at Reddit, Inc., where responsibilities included advising the company's board on various issues and managing multiple teams. Earlier experience includes significant legal roles at Google from July 2007 to May 2015, Morrison & Foerster LLP in 2006-2007, and Debevoise & Plimpton LLP from 2003 to 2006. Tidwell earned a J.D. from New York University School of Law and a Bachelor of Arts in American Studies from Georgetown University.
