Craig Farnsworth has over 35 years of work experience in various roles within the technology industry. Craig is currently the GM and Senior Director of Engineering at Ethernovia since February 2020. Prior to that, they worked at Peraso Technologies, Inc. from October 2013 to February 2020, where they held positions such as Senior Director of Digital Design and Director of Digital Design. At Peraso Technologies, they were responsible for digital ASIC development, including specification, architecture, design, verification, COT physical implementation, FPGA prototyping, validation, and methodology.
Before joining Peraso Technologies, Inc., Craig founded ASICFactory Inc. in July 2011 and served as the Owner until October 2013. At ASICFactory, they provided high-quality and low-cost services to customers, taking on various technical and leadership roles related to IC development tasks. Craig'sexperience included architectural development, methodology development, RTL development, DFT, synthesis, low power development, low power analysis, place and route, physical verification, and STA.
From January 2006 to July 2011, Craig worked at Fresco Microchip, where they held the position of Director of Product Development and later became the Manager Chip Assembly. In these roles, they provided project management leadership, led the digital IC development team, developed automated flows for RTL2GDS, designed digital DFT strategies, developed power flows, and architected unit test verification flows. Craig also negotiated CAD and services contracts.
Craig's earlier work experience includes positions at companies such as Silicon Optix, Cogency Technology, and the University of Manchester. At Silicon Optix, they served as the Chip Assembly Manager from September 2003 to December 2005. At Cogency Technology, they held the role of Engineering Manager and Director of CAD from 1995 to 2003. At the University of Manchester, they worked as a Research Fellow from August 1992 to August 1995, focusing on the deployment of self-timed logic in consumer products.
Craig's career in the technology industry began as an Electrical and Electronic Apprentice at the British Manufacture and Research Company from August 1985 to June 1989.
Craig Farnsworth has a Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Engineering from The University of Manchester. Craig completed this degree between 1989 and 1992. Following this, Craig pursued further education and obtained a Master of Science degree in IC Design from The University of Manchester. Craig completed their MSc degree in the field of study between the years 1992 and 1993.
