Jetty A. Castro, MS, PHR, currently serves as the Director of Human Resources at Ethical Culture Fieldston School since September 2021, after holding the role of Associate Director. Prior experience includes positions at Columbia University School of Nursing, where Castro advanced through roles from Manager to Associate Director of Human Resources & Faculty Affairs, and at Columbia University Libraries & Information Services as a Human Resources Generalist. Earlier career highlights include serving as a Human Resources Administrator at NYU School of Law, where responsibilities encompassed onboarding, compliance, and payroll issues, and as an HR Assistant and Faculty Assistant within the same institution. Castro began professional experience at Simpson Thacher & Bartlett, LLP as a Floater Assistant. Educational qualifications include a Master’s degree in Human Resources Management and Development from New York University, and a Bachelor's degree in Labor & Industrial Relations from Penn State University.

For over 130 years the Ethical Culture Fieldston School has been committed to excellence in education as it seeks to develop the intellectual, artistic and moral potential of its students. ECFS serves approximately 1,700 students and 325 faculty and staff in four divisions; Ethical Culture, Fieldston Lower, Fieldston Middle, and Fieldston Upper. Ethical Culture is located in midtown Manhattan on Central Park West, in a six-story, turn-of-the-century school building; the other divisions share an 18-acre campus in the Riverdale section of the Bronx.
