Marco Jean Aboav

Marco Jean Aboav, Ph.D., is a seasoned professional with extensive experience in the fintech and AI sectors. Currently serving as Co-Founder and CEO of Etna Research since November 2020, Marco leads a company focused on indexing infrastructure for enterprises across asset management, wealth management, insurance, and corporate treasury. Additionally, Marco acts as an External Fintech/AI Advisor for the AWS Loft program, supporting fellow founders in their entrepreneurial journeys. As a Senior Fellow at The Aspen Institute and an Associate Professor in Financial Technology at Bayes Business School, Marco emphasizes data-driven business strategies in banking and insurance. Previous roles include Global Macro Portfolio Manager at Numen Capital LLP and Head of Asset Allocation at MoneyFarm. Marco holds an MSc and a Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Engineering from Politecnico di Milano.
