Gemma Jané Garcia

Gemma Jané Garcia has a diverse work experience in the field of product design. Gemma began their career as a Industrial Designer at magma design S.L in November 1998, where they handled design and re-design tasks for various industrial products. Gemma also managed the entire process from inception to industrialization, and had direct interactions with clients and suppliers. After working there for more than a decade, they started their own company called akura design in April 2009, where they served as the Promoter and Creative Director. At akura design, Gemma offered design services and gained over 11 years of experience in the industry. Currently, they are working as a Product Design Manager at ETNIA BARCELONA, S.L from April 2011 onwards.

Gemma Jané Garcia pursued their education in the field of industrial and product design. In 1995, they enrolled at Escuela Superior de Diseño ELISAVA in Barcelona and completed their Graduado Superior en Diseño degree in 1999, offered by the UPF. Afterward, they attended the University School of Design and Engineering of Barcelona in 2006, where they completed a Postgrado en modelado digital - Alias 3d studio, further specializing in industrial and product design.
