Chris oversees the running and development of the estate’s properties and grounds, including our exceptional heritage buildings and state-of-the-art facilities.
A qualified member of the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors, Chris was previously Director of Estates Management & Development at the University of Reading. Also appointed Managing Director to their Thames Valley Science Park public-private partnership, he secured development of the £64million British Museum Archaeological Research Collection facility.
Prior to this, Chris was Head of Commercial at Bidwells, acting for Oxford and Cambridge Colleges ensuring performance of endowment and operational estates, and he worked on the Cambridge Biomedical Campus £330million first phase.
Chris is married with two teenage daughters. His wife Annie is Project Lead for a healthcare charity supporting vulnerable people. An independent member to the Henley College’s Finance & Resources Committee, Chris has served as trustee to charities including the Wokingham Waterside Centre and Sea Cadets.
