Paul Donnelly

Paul Donnelly has worked in the energy sector since 2006. Paul began their career at Accenture as a Business Analyst, where they were responsible for designing and testing ESB Power Generation's Energy Management Centre Desktop Suite. In 2009, they joined System Dynamics as an ETRM Business Analyst, where they worked on the EMIR/REMIT Automation Project. In 2016, they joined ETRMServices as a Delivery Manager. In this role, they managed a team of ETRM technical and functional specialists to ensure effective support and change of ESB Trading's ETRM system-of-record (Aligne). Paul also advised and collaborated with ESB stakeholders on Aligne delivery roadmap, scheduled and delivered key projects and priorities, managed the reporting and trend analysis of ESB Trading's Governance Incident Process, and identified the root cause of IT incidents across the trading floor. Paul also served as a Senior Consultant, Technical Business Analyst for ESB Energy Implementation, Test Manager for I-SEM CfD Implementation, and Business Lead for Aligne Upgrade Project. In their most recent role as Technical Business Analyst for Short Haul Gas, they were responsible for leading the redesign of existing Gas Operations, balancing and trading processes to allow ESB Trading to significantly reduce the cost of gas balancing.

Paul Donnelly completed a Bachelor of Business and Legal Studies at University College Dublin between 2002 and 2006, with a focus on Business and Law. Paul also attended De La Salle Wicklow.
