Renaud Di Francesco is a seasoned expert in technology and standardisation, currently serving as the Convenor of the European Committee on AI risk and the Head of National Delegation for EU Standardisation of AI for Italy at CEN and CENELEC. With extensive experience at Sony since 1998, Renaud operates as the Director for Europe Technology & Standards, overseeing initiatives in standards management, IoT, and AI. Renaud holds multiple leadership roles across several organisations, including Fellow of the Institution of Engineering and Technology, Deputy Head of the National Delegation for AI at ISO/IEC, and various positions at ETSI and DVB.
