Annemarie O'Beirne

Annemarie O'Beirne currently serves as the Head of Compliance and Head of AML / CTF Compliance at Etsy, beginning in August 2023, and previously held the position of Senior Manager, Risk & Compliance at Etsy Payments Ireland Limited. Prior to Etsy, Annemarie worked at Meta as Payments Compliance International Oversight Manager in the FinTech sector from September 2021 to August 2023. Annemarie's earlier experience includes various managerial and consulting roles at Deloitte, from September 2015 to September 2021, where responsibilities encompassed regulatory risk and advisory services, and at PwC Ireland as a Consultant in financial services regulatory and risk practice. Additionally, Annemarie led a team in the Data Protection Unit at AIB from January 2011 to January 2014, focusing on operational risk and compliance. Annemarie holds multiple professional certifications, including Certified Anti-Money Laundering Specialist and Certified Information Privacy Professional/Europe, along with a Master’s in Management from University College Dublin.
