Álvaro Pombo Bernad

Álvaro Pombo Bernad has a diverse work experience in engineering roles for various companies. Álvaro started their career as an intern at Airbus, where they worked on integration and validation phases for the satellite CHEOPS. Álvaro then joined ENAIRE as an engineering trainee, where they focused on research and development in the Simulation Division and worked on airspace capacity monitorization tools. After that, they moved on to CRIDA A.I.E. where they continued as an engineering trainee, participating in Fast Time Simulations for SESAR projects. Álvaro then worked at Exceltic as an ATM System Integration and Test Engineer, where they were responsible for system integration and validation for Indra's iACM. Following that, they joined GMV as an AIV Engineer, mainly working on the EUMETSAT Polar System - Second Generation (EPS-SG) mission control center, including integration, system-level validation, and test campaigns. Currently, they are working as an EPS-SG support engineer at EUMETSAT, providing on-site support on behalf of GMV.

Álvaro Pombo Bernad completed a Master's degree in Astronomy and Astrophysics from VIU - Universidad Internacional de Valencia between 2019 and 2021. Prior to that, they obtained a Bachelor's Degree in Aerospace Engineering with a specialization in Aerospace Propulsion from Universidad Carlos III de Madrid, which they pursued from 2012 to 2017. Additionally, they participated in the Airbus Seedbed Program at Escuela de Organización Industrial from 2015 to 2016, although the specific field of study for this program was not provided.
