Antonio Martinez Lobo, PhD has a diverse work experience spanning multiple industries and roles. Antonio started their career as a post graduate student at the University of Sevilla, focusing on Atomic & Nuclear Physics. Antonio then worked as a research fellow at the Universidad de Sevilla and CIEMAT, conducting research on radioactivity measurements and spectrometry.

In 1991, they joined the University of Southampton as a research fellow in the Department of Oceanography. Later that year, they also worked as a research fellow at ESA's Signal & Image Processing department, where they focused on SAR signal processing algorithms. Antonio continued their research as a research fellow at the Instituto Ciencias del Mar, CSIC, working on the detection of marine fronts in ERS-1 SAR images.

In 1993, they became a freelance consultant, specializing in Earth Observation, Remote Sensing, and Synthetic Aperture Radar. Antonio then joined Indra Espacio as a Project Manager in the Remote Sensing Department, working on ESA projects and SAR technology. Antonio also served as the Head of Department in the Remote Sensing directorate and became a Senior Engineer in the Earth Observation section of the Military Communications and Space directorate.

Since 2015, Antonio has been working at EUMETSAT as a Ground Segment System Engineer for EPS-SG and Copernicus Systems. Their responsibilities include system engineering, project management, and working on ground segment engineering for various projects.
