Senior Data Processing Operations Engineer at EUMETSAT

David Lee has a diverse and extensive work experience in the field of operations engineering. David began their career in 1986 at the Rutherford Appleton Laboratory, where they served as a Higher Scientific Officer. In this role, they focused on software processing engineering for the ESA ERS-1 ATSR instrument and provided support for instrument operations during calibration and on-orbit tasks. From 1993 to 1995, David worked at NRSC Ltd as a Development Engineer and Project Manager for the ESA UK-Processing and Archiving Facility. During this time, they specialized in data product expertise and served as an ESA ERS-1 ATSR processing engineer and project manager.

In 1998, David moved on to RHEA as an Operations Engineer, contributing to the development and execution of operations-related tasks until 2001. David then joined Moltek Consultants Ltd in 2002 as a Systems and Operations Engineer, focusing on system and operational engineering until February 2013.

David's career at TERMA Group began in February 2013, where they held the position of Senior Operations Engineer until September 2019. During their tenure, they played a crucial role in various operational engineering tasks. Simultaneously, David worked at the European Space Agency (ESA) as an Operations Engineer from 2013 to 2015. In this role, they worked on undisclosed project assignments.

Most recently, in October 2019, David joined EUMETSAT as a Senior Data Processing Operations Engineer, where they continue to contribute their expertise and skills to the organization.

David Lee attended Teesside Polytechnic from 1982 to 1986, where they obtained a Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Technology. Their field of study focused on Computer Technology during their time at the university.
