Emma Foschi

Ground Segment Systems Engineer at EUMETSAT

Emma Foschi has worked at EUMETSAT since 2016. Emma started as a Junior Systems Engineer in September 2016 and then transitioned to the role of Ground Segment Systems Engineer in September 2018. Prior to joining EUMETSAT, Emma worked at Serco starting in 2013. Emma held various roles including Ground Segment Engineer, PDGS Maintenance and Evolution Engineer, Software Engineer, and Intern. Their time at Serco ended in August 2016.

Emma Foschi has a strong educational background in the field of space science, technology, astronomy, and astrophysics. Emma completed their Bachelor's degree in Physics and Astrophysics from Sapienza Università di Roma in 2009. Following this, they pursued a Master's degree in Astronomy and Astrophysics from the same university and graduated in 2011.

Emma then furthered their education and obtained a Master's degree in Space Science and Technology from the University of Rome Tor Vergata in 2013. This additional degree contributed to their expertise in the field.

In terms of certifications, Emma Foschi holds the Certified Systems Engineer (GfSE) Level B from Gesellschaft für Systems Engineering e.V., obtained in June 2021. Emma also acquired the Certified Systems Engineering Professional (CSEP) certification from INCOSE in the same month and year.
