Marc Gaset

Marc Gaset has a diverse work experience in the field of remote sensing and earth observation. Marc has been working at EUMETSAT as a Ground Segment Systems Engineer since April 2019. Prior to that, they worked at CS GROUP as a Systems Engineer for the Meteosat Third Generation development program from September 2016 to March 2019. Before that, Marc worked at ALTAMIRA INFORMATION where they held multiple roles. From 2014 to 2016, they were an Operations Department Assistant Manager and Earth Observation Engineer, managing projects and processing SAR RADAR data. From 2010 to 2013, they worked as an SAR Data Processing Specialist and Project Manager, focusing on R&D and software development. Marc's early career includes a role as a Remote Sensing Engineer specializing in RADAR data processing at Altamira Information from 2007 to 2009.

Marc Gaset has a diverse education history in the field of systems engineering and IT project management. In 2003, they obtained a Higher National Certificate in Computing from the University of Wales. The same year, they also pursued a Master of Science (M.Sc.) in Telecommunications at the Universitat Politècnica de Catalunya, which they completed in 2007.

In 2010 and 2011, Marc attended the UPC School of Professional & Executive Development, where they earned a Master's degree in IT Project Management. During 2018, they took part in a 5-day training program in Systems Engineering at Project Performance International.

Most recently, Marc obtained the Certified Systems Engineer (GfSE) Level B / INCOSE CSEP certification from GfSE (Gesellschaft für Systems Engineering, German chapter of INCOSE) in May 2021. Additionally, they also hold the Certified Systems Engineering Professional (CSEP) certification from INCOSE, obtained in May 2021.
