Remy Chalex

Remy Chalex has a diverse range of work experience in the aerospace industry. Remy started their career as a Mechanical Engineer at NASA in 2004 and then worked as a System Engineer at CNES in 2005. In 2006, they joined Thales Alenia Space as a Mechanical Engineer and also started working at the European Space Agency (ESA) as a System Engineer, Study Manager, and Team Leader Concurrent Design Facility.

From 2008 to 2010, Remy worked at White Label Space as a System Engineer and team co-founder. Remy then joined Terma in 2008 as a System Engineer for the European Space Agency (ESA). In 2014, they transitioned to OHB System, where they worked as a System Engineer & Launch Campaign Manager, coordinating the launch of the Hispasat AG1 spacecraft.

Since 2017, Remy has been working at EUMETSAT, where they initially served as the Launch Services Manager, responsible for the procurement of launch services for Metop and Metop-SG satellites. Currently, they hold the position of EPS-Aeolus Project Manager, overseeing the development of a new wind sounding capability for EUMETSAT's data portfolio.

Throughout their career, Remy has gained expertise in various areas, including project management, system engineering, feasibility studies, and launch services procurement.

Remy Chalex obtained a Master's degree in Space System Engineering and Mechanical Engineering from Ecole Supérieure des Techniques Aéronautiques et de Construction Automobile, which they attended from 2004 to 2006. In 2006, they pursued a specialization in Space Systems Engineering and conducted experiments in 0g aircraft experiments at Purdue University. In 2010, they participated in the Space Studies Program at the International Space University. Prior to these experiences, Remy earned a Maitrise in Fluid Mechanics & Structural Mechanics from Paris-Sud University (Paris XI) in 2004, a Licence in the same field from the same university in 2003, and a DEUG in Fundamental Physics from Paris-Sud University (Paris XI) from 2000 to 2002.
