Saverio Paolella

GNSS Radio Occultation Scientist at EUMETSAT

Saverio Paolella, PhD, currently serves as a GNSS Radio Occultation consultant at EUMETSAT since November 2018. Previously, Saverio held roles at Iveco from October 2015 to October 2018 as a Telematics System Engineer, overseeing the development and integration of fleet management applications for commercial vehicles. Earlier experience includes positions at Polimatica from January 2012 to September 2015, where Saverio worked as a Test Engineer and System Engineer, testing and designing telematics systems. Additional roles at Iveco included product development focused on Electronic Control Units and a PhD candidacy at Politecnico di Torino, where Saverio developed a MicroRadar network for rain detection while also contributing to the ROSA Project for the Italian Space Agency. Educational background includes a PhD, a Master of Science in Electronic Engineering, and a Bachelor's degree in Electrical and Electronics Engineering from Politecnico di Torino, complemented by a high school diploma in informatics.
