Dinos Karagiannis

Head Of Mission Support at EUPOL COPPS

Dinos Karagiannis has extensive work experience in various leadership roles within international organizations and missions. Dinos served as the Head of Mission Support for EUPOL COPPS since February 2019. Prior to that, they worked as an Advisor to KP Deputy Director General / General Resources Management for EULEX Kosovo, EU Rule of Law Mission from July 2013 to July 2015. Dinos also held the position of Head of Mission Support for EUCAP Nestor from August 2012 to July 2013.

In 2008, Karagiannis joined EULEX Kosovo, EU Rule of Law Mission as the Director of Administration & Support. Dinos was responsible for managing a department of approximately 350 international and local staff, overseeing various support services and regional offices. Before that, they served as the Head of Admin Planning Team for the EU Planning Team for Kosovo, where they were responsible for defining administrative requirements and establishing systems for the upcoming civilian crisis management operation.

Karagiannis also held leadership positions in other organizations, including Chief Admin & Support for EUPOL Proxima from 2003 to 2006, Chief of Staff for UNMIBH/IPTF in 2001-2002, Chief Editor of Police Review monthly magazine for Hellenic Police in 2000-2001, and Chief Police Personnel for UNMIBH/IPTF in 1999-2000.

Dinos Karagiannis completed their Bachelor of Arts degree in Law Studies from the National Kapodistriako University of Athens between 1990 and 1995.
