Vlagyiszlav Makszimov is a journalist and network regional coordinator for the Balkans at EURACTIV since October 2019, focusing on rule of law, democracy, fundamental rights, and cohesion policy, while coordinating editorial efforts with regional media partners in Southeast Europe. Prior experience includes a role as a blue book trainee at the European Commission, where Vlagyiszlav conducted analytical work on financial instruments and drafted reports on legislative developments. Additionally, an internship at the World Bank Group involved leading a research project on policy reform and summarizing the Doing Business 2019 report. Vlagyiszlav holds a Master’s degree in International Security from Sciences Po and a Bachelor of Arts from New York University Abu Dhabi, combined with experience in research and social impact analysis across various organizations.
