Alex Brideau has an extensive background in international relations and political analysis, currently serving as Practice Head at Eurasia Group since August 2007, where responsibilities include being the lead analyst for Russian foreign policy, US-Russia relations, and Ukraine. Previously, Alex held various positions within Eurasia Group, including Director and Senior Analyst, focusing on regional oil and natural gas issues. In addition to experience at Eurasia Group, Alex was an instructor at The Johns Hopkins University - Paul H. Nitze School of Advanced International Studies. Alex's career in analysis began at Energy Intelligence Group and also included roles at Pasha Publications. Academic credentials include an MIA in International Security from Columbia University and a BSFS in International Security from Georgetown University.
