Amaka Anku is an accomplished professional with extensive experience in international affairs and law. Currently serving as the Director and Practice Head for Africa at Eurasia Group since December 2016, Anku also holds the position of Term Member at the Council on Foreign Relations and recently completed a role as Adjunct Professor at Georgetown University. Previous academic contributions include serving as a Professorial Lecturer at the Elliott School of International Affairs. Anku's earlier positions include Managing Director at Dilikam Advisors, Penn Kemble Forum Fellow at the National Endowment for Democracy, and Fellow at the Center for Public Policy Alternatives. Anku has also practiced law as an International Litigation & Arbitration Associate at Shearman & Sterling LLP and gained judicial experience as a Clerk for the Honorable Legrome Davis at the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of Pennsylvania. Anku earned a J.D. from Harvard Law School and has academic credentials from the Harvard Kennedy School, Princeton University, and the University of Cape Town.
