Ava Ao Shen

Ava Ao Shen is an accomplished professional with extensive experience in international relations, particularly focused on China. Currently serving as an Associate at Eurasia Group since August 2022, Ava previously held a research intern position at Rhodium Group, where responsibilities included tracking significant economic developments and conducting research on client projects related to Taiwan. With a strong editorial background, Ava has been Editor in Chief of SAIS Review and SAIS China Studies Review, overseeing multiple publications and coordinating with various stakeholders. Additional experience includes research roles at The Stimson Center, where analytical memos on Chinese foreign policy were produced, and moderating dialogues between Chinese and American students at the SAIS US-China Dialogue Initiative. Ava holds a Master of Arts in International Relations with a focus on China Studies from Johns Hopkins SAIS, along with dual Bachelor's degrees in International Relations and French Studies from Boston University.
