Maddi Etxegarai

Maddi Etxegarai is an Advanced Data Scientist at Eurecat - Technology Centre of Catalonia since May 2019, specializing in the development of innovative Data Science solutions across various industrial sectors and European research initiatives, with a focus on optimizing manufacturing processes through Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning, and Data Mining. Etxegarai also served as an instructor for the 'Training in Industry 4.0' course at Eurecat Academy in June 2020. Previously, Etxegarai was a PhD candidate at 3SR Grenoble and Lund University, conducting research on the coupled hydromechanics of reservoir rocks and developing Python code for tomographic image analysis. Etxegarai's experience includes working as a Junior Detector Scientist at European Spallation Source, providing simulation support and contributing to reports and proposals, along with a scientific research internship in neutron technologies. Etxegarai holds a PhD in Geomechanics from Université Grenoble Alpes and a Master's degree in Physics from Universidad Complutense de Madrid.
