Rita Mota

Rita Mota is an experienced professional in the energy sector, currently serving as Chair of the Retail Market Design Working Group at Eurelectric since November 2020 and holding the position of Deputy Director in the Competition and Energy Policies Department at EDP since June 2015. Rita's expertise encompasses regulatory affairs, risk management, and business analysis, with active participation in European associations to influence energy-related discussions. Previous roles at EDP Comercial from August 2002 to May 2015 included energy management, planning and control, marketing strategy, and analysis of potential customers. Rita holds a degree from Universidade Católica Portuguesa in The Lisbon MBA and a degree from Universidade Nova de Lisboa.
