Marcel Rothacker Frm

Marcel Rothacker's work experience begins in 2009 as an IT Intern at UGW AG, where they worked for a year. In 2011, they became a Student Employee in Operational Management at ABO Wind. Marcel then joined Deutsche Börse Group - Eurex Frankfurt AG in 2012 and worked in the Market Supervision department. During this time, they were involved in various projects and played a role in the development of new functionalities and products. In 2014, they transitioned to the role of Derivatives Trading Specialist in Market Supervision, where they focused on daily option pricing and trading activities. In 2016, Marcel joined Eurex and worked as a Senior Analyst in Trading Surveillance, responsible for analyzing the market and ensuring fair trading activities. Marcel then moved on to become VP in Derivatives Market Design, overseeing the design and implementation of trading models. Currently, Marcel is the Head of Equity & Index Sales Operations, leading an international team and improving the sales process for Eurex.

Marcel Rothacker, FRM has a diverse educational background with a focus on finance and management. In 2009, they obtained a state certification as a technical assistant for information technology and automation engineering. In 2013, Marcel received a Bachelor of Arts in Finance and e-Business from London South Bank University. Marcel then pursued further education at Hochschule Mainz - University of Applied Sciences, where they earned a Bachelor of Arts in Business Administration in 2014 and a Master of Arts in Management from 2015 to 2018.

Marcel also obtained additional certifications to further enhance their skillset. Marcel gained expertise in financial risk management by completing the Financial Risk Manager (FRM®) program offered by GARP FRM Program in August 2017. In January 2017, they became a certified cash market trader through Deutsche Börse Cash Market. Marcel also achieved certification as a certified Eurex trader from Deutsche Börse Group in May 2014.

To broaden their knowledge in data science and machine learning, Marcel completed the Applied Data Science with Python course and the Machine Learning with Python course offered by IBM in February 2019. Marcel also completed the "Build Your Own Chatbot - Level 1" course by IBM, although specific details about its completion are not provided.

Most recently, in 2023, Marcel attended the Executive Program at the Yale School of Management, specializing in Sustainable Finance & Investing. This program likely provided him with advanced knowledge and skills in the field.
