Gerjo Scheringa

Gerjo Scheringa has a diverse work experience spanning various industries. Gerjo is currently the Chief Executive Officer at Euro Pool Group, a leading logistics service provider in Europe. Gerjo has been in this role since August 2014. Prior to this, Gerjo was a Member of the Supervisory Board and Advisor at Selectiebedrijf Kooi B.V. Gerjo also served as a Member of the Supervisory Board at FOBEK BV from May 2009 to August 2014.

In addition, Gerjo has held interim management positions at ZON fruit & vegetables, where they served as the Managing Director from May 2012 to July 2014, and at TRISKELION, where they were the Managing Director from October 2010 to May 2012.

Furthermore, Gerjo has extensive experience in the dairy industry. Gerjo was the Regional Director for the Gulf Cooperation Council at FrieslandCampina from November 2007 to August 2010. Prior to this, they served as the Commercial Director at FrieslandCampina Wamco Nigeria Plc. from February 2005 to November 2007. Gerjo also held various marketing and sales positions at Royal Friesland Foods.

In addition to their current role at Euro Pool Group, Gerjo is also involved in the reusable transport packaging and poolpallets industry as the (Vice-) Chairman of the Board at Reusable Packaging Europe (RPE), representing the interests of companies in this field. Gerjo has been a member of the RPE Board of Directors since February 2020 and will become the Vice-Chairman from March 2023.

Gerjo Scheringa obtained a Bachelor of Commerce degree in Commercial Economics from HEAO Rotterdam in 1991. Prior to that, in 1987, they completed their secondary education at CSV 't Loo Voorburg, where they pursued the Atheneum program. In 1994, Scheringa earned a Master of Economics degree, known as Doctorandus, from the University of Groningen. Gerjo'sfield of study during their time at Groningen included Business Economics, Marketing, and Marketing Research. In 1999, they participated in the Management Development Program of Royal Friesland Foods, specializing in Change Management. Additionally, in 2005, they attended an executive program at Northwestern University's Kellogg School of Management. Scheringa further enhanced their executive skills at CEDEP - Executive Development in Fontainebleau from 2015 to 2017.
