Cosmin Popescu

Cosmin Popescu, CFE, CIA, FCCA, serves as an Internal Audit Senior Consultant at Eurobank since January 2019, where responsibilities include proposing, organizing, and coordinating internal audit assignments and investigations for international banking subsidiaries. Prior to this role, Cosmin Popescu held several positions at Bancpost from February 1999 to December 2018, including Senior Internal Audit Manager, where oversight of the Internal Audit and Fraud Prevention & Detection Divisions was provided. Earlier experiences include managing fraud investigations across Eurobank Group Romania, acting as division head for operational audits, and serving as an internal auditor at the Romanian Bank for Foreign Trade. Cosmin Popescu is a qualified accountant with multiple certifications, including ACCA, CFE, and CIA, and holds a Bachelor’s degree in Economics from Academia de Studii Economice din București.
