Fokion Karavias is an experienced banking executive currently serving as Chief Executive Officer at Eurobank (GRE) since August 2013, with additional roles as Executive Board Member and Senior General Manager of Wholesale Banking, and General Manager of Capital Markets and Wealth Management. Prior to this, Fokion Karavias held various positions at Eurobank from December 1997 to June 2013, including General Manager of Global Markets. Fokion Karavias also gained experience at Citi as Head of GRD Debt Derivatives and Fixed Income from March 1994 to November 1997, and at J.P. Morgan as an Associate in Market Risk Management from September 1991 to March 1993. Educational qualifications include a Ph.D. in Chemical Engineering from the University of Pennsylvania and a diploma in Chemical Engineering from the National Technical University of Athens.
