Alexey Semenov

Alexey Semenov has extensive work experience in various industries. Alexey began their career as a Research Assistant at ETH Zurich in 2007 and later worked as a Scientist at the European Space Agency from 2008 to 2010. Alexey then joined Bain & Company as a Consultant from 2010 to 2012. Following this, they worked at Bryanston Resources GmbH as a Senior Associate/Project Lead from 2012 to 2014.

In 2014, Alexey joined Syngenta, where they held two roles. Alexey first served as a Business Intelligence Manager from 2014 to 2017, and later became the Commercial Operations and Digital Agriculture Lead for the DACH region from 2017 to 2019.

From 2019 to 2020, they worked at EuroChem as a Commercial Implementation Lead. Alexey then became the Head of Commercial Business Systems from 2020 to 2021. Currently, they serve as the Head of Commercial Strategy at EuroChem, responsible for developing commercial product strategies, optimizing product portfolios, and providing performance management metrics for sales and trading managers. Additionally, Alexey is involved in the development of consistent medium-term and long-term product price and macroeconomic forecasts.

Alexey Semenov completed their education with a PhD in Earth Sciences from ETH Zürich in 2011. Prior to that, they obtained a Diploma in Abstract Algebra from Lomonosov Moscow State University (MSU) in 2007. Alexey also holds a certification in Machine Learning from Coursera Course Certificates, obtained in 2016.
