EUROPEAN ALUMINIUM
Roman Stiftner serves as Geschäftsführer and Managing Director at Fachverband Bergbau-Stahl und Nichteisenmetallindustrie since 2008, representing the interests of all Austrian steelmaking, mining, and non-ferrous metals companies. Additionally, Roman holds the position of CEO and Director General at Eumicon, a platform focusing on strategy and innovation in mining, and has been the President of BVL - Bundesvereinigung Logistik Österreich since 2011, facilitating logistics and supply chain management networking in Austria. Roman is also the Vice President of Euromines, representing the European metals and minerals mining industry, and serves as President of the European Shippers' Council as well as a member of the Executive Committee of European Aluminium. Further involvement includes roles in Eurometaux and the European Logistics Association, along with lecturing at Fachhochschule Technikum Wien. Roman’s educational background includes a Doctor of Science in Engineering Sciences from Technische Universität Wien and degrees in Electrical Engineering and Economics from the same institution and WU (Vienna University of Economics and Business).

EUROPEAN ALUMINIUM represents the aluminium industry in Europe, encompassing primary aluminium producers, downstream manufacturers, producers of recycled aluminium and national aluminium associations. Through environmental and technical expertise, economic and statistical analysis, scientific research, education and sharing of best practices, public affairs and communication activities, it aims to promote aluminium's contribution to sustainable development whilst maintaining and improving the image of the industry, of the material and of its applications.
