Cristian Carraretto

Cristian Carraretto serves as the Head of Energy Transition in Sustainable Business and Infrastructure at EBRD, a position held since March 2011, and previously held the role of Associate Director for Sustainable Resource Investments. Responsibilities include overseeing power generation, oil and gas sectors, agribusiness, and manufacturing. Prior experience includes roles as Senior Engineer and Principal Engineer at MWH, Power Generation Business Line Manager, and Project Manager, as well as Technical Manager at Venice Energy Agency. Cristian began a consultancy at Sipro in 2008 and was a researcher and assistant professor at the University of Padova from 2000 to 2007. Academic credentials include a PhD in Energy Systems and an MSc (Hons) in Mechanical Engineering, both obtained from Università degli Studi di Padova.
