Natalia Kryg, PhD, is a Principal Economist in the Evaluation department at the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD), with experience since October 2019, specializing in the evaluation of EBRD bail-in-able instruments and response strategies to crises, including COVID-19. Previously, Natalia served as a Senior Associate in Impact VP Policy and Partnership at EBRD, focusing on empirical analyses of investment performance and training junior staff. Additionally, Natalia was a Senior Economist (Secondee) at the International Monetary Fund (IMF) from July 2022 to June 2023, contributing to evaluations on the IMF's crisis response and strategies. Earlier roles included an Associate at EBRD, where analytical work supported operational strategies, and positions at Citi as a Senior Analyst and Analyst, emphasizing financial performance and strategic reporting. Natalia holds a PhD in Economics from UCL, along with a Master's degree from UCL and a Bachelor's degree from UCL, complemented by a visiting Ph.D. stint at Saïd Business School, University of Oxford.
