Dimitris Laliotis is a highly experienced financial sector expert with a robust background in macroprudential policy and financial stability, currently serving as a Senior Financial Sector Expert at the International Monetary Fund since July 2018 and as a Senior Financial Stability Expert at the European Central Bank since August 2014. Laliotis has held various significant roles including Risk Manager in the Banking Supervision Department at the Bank of Greece, CEO at FIXEL SA, and Director of Trading & Sales at Eurocorp Securities SA. With prior experiences as Head of Trading at PROTON BANK, Director of the Derivatives Desk at SIGMA Securities, and a strong foundation in capital markets from positions at European Popular Bank and Citibank, Laliotis possesses extensive expertise. Laliotis holds a Ph.D. in Computational & Quantitative Finance and an M.Sc. in Communications and Signal Processing from Imperial College London, as well as a diploma in Electrical and Computer Engineering from the National Technical University of Athens.
