Cristina da Cruz is an experienced professional in science communication and health, currently serving as a Scientific Engagement Officer at the European Centre for Disease Prevention and Control (ECDC) since October 2019. Previously, Cristina held roles as Scientific Coordination & International Cooperation Support at EMCDDA, Science and Health Communication Assistant Professor at NOVA Medical School, and Science Communication Specialist at the European Food Safety Authority. Cristina's expertise encompasses risk communication, uncertainty communication, science publishing, and training in health and nutrition communication. Educational qualifications include a Master of Science in Science Communication from Universidade Nova de Lisboa and a Bachelor of Science in Food and Nutritional Sciences from Universidade do Porto.
