Marcel Catalin Albu

Marcel Catalin Albu is a seasoned expert in data management and architecture with extensive experience, particularly at the European Centre for Disease Prevention and Control (ECDC) since 2007. Currently serving as Expert Data Management and Data Architecture, Marcel has contributed significantly to projects such as the "EU - The Surveillance Atlas of Infectious Diseases," focusing on data integration, analysis, and quality control. Previous roles included Business Information Officer at the European University Institute and various positions in software project management and database architecture. Marcel holds a Master's degree and Bachelor's degree in Engineering/Industrial Management from Universitatea „Bioterra” din București and has a background in Mechanical Engineering from the University POLITEHNICA of Bucharest.
