Aleksandra Tomczak is a seasoned professional with extensive experience in European policy and green initiatives. Currently serving as a Member of the Cabinet of the Executive Vice President for European Green Deal Frans Timmermans at the European Commission since February 2015, Aleksandra also coordinates the European Coal Regions in Transition Initiative. Prior to this role, Aleksandra worked as an Advisor at the World Coal Association from June 2010 to February 2015 and as a Consultant for the Public Service Reform Programme at Accenture. Early career experiences include internships at the Trade and Investment Promotion Section of the Polish Embassy and the Smithsonian Institution. Aleksandra holds a Master's degree in EU Politics and Administration from the College of Europe, a degree in Politics and European Studies from Cardiff University, and a Master's in European Careers from Sciences Po Bordeaux, alongside a BAC L from Lycee Jay de Beaufort in France.
