Ciprian Firica

Ciprian Firica is an experienced AI Expert at the European Commission, beginning in October 2024. Prior to this role, Ciprian served as a Machine Learning Software Architect at KLA, where responsibilities included developing software for the F260 microchip inspection tool, along with software debugging, testing, and architectural design. Earlier experience includes positions such as CTO and Software Architect at CyberStage, and Machine Learning Software Engineer at Septentrio, where software development for GNSS receivers was a key focus. From 2012 to 2020, Ciprian worked as a Software Architect and Senior Software Developer at Ingenio Software, leading development of card payment solutions. Ciprian's background also features a role as IT Project Manager at Ahold Delhaize, overseeing ERP migration, and as Co-Founder and Product Architect at BlackSign Biometric Systems, where product development centered on a patented fingerprint identification system. Ciprian holds a Licentiate degree in Computer Science from the University POLITEHNICA of Bucharest.
