Jasper Verreydt

Jasper Verreydt currently serves as a member of the Global Gateway Business Advisory Group for the European Commission, focusing on addressing global challenges through the Global Gateway strategy. Simultaneously, Jasper is a mentor on subsidies, funding, R&D, and internationalization at imec.istart and Start it Accelerate | @KBC. As a Grants & Funding Specialist at Liguris since November 2021, Jasper supports innovation and R&D development. Between December 2014 and August 2023, Jasper was an International Project Development & Funding Specialist at Turbulent Hydro, successfully securing multiple grants for technology development. Jasper is also the founder and CEO of Turbulent, which creates efficient low-head hydropower plants. Previously, Jasper served as a Board Member at AFC - Academics for Companies and worked as a Financial Analyst at Materialise. Educational qualifications include a Master of Laws in Tax Law/Taxation from KU Leuven and a Master of Science in Business Economics from the same institution, along with a corporate finance summer course at LSE.
