Dina Kampouraki is an experienced professional in data protection and information security, currently serving as the Head of Sector for Systems Oversight and Technology Audit at the European Data Protection Supervisor since April 2017. Prior to this role, Dina Kampouraki held various positions including IT Policy Administrator and Information and Security Officer at the same organization. From February 1999 to April 2017, Dina Kampouraki worked as a Data Protection Specialist at the Data Protection Authority. Additional experience includes serving in the Data Protection Secretariat at the Council of the European Union from January 2006 to January 2008, and as an IS Analyst at Panavox SA from May 1997 to February 1999. Dina Kampouraki holds a Master's degree in Computer and Information Systems Security/Information Assurance and a Bachelor of Science in Computer Science, both from Athens University of Economics and Business.

European Data Protection Supervisor
The European Data Protection Supervisor (EDPS) is the European Union’s independent data protection authority. We monitor and ensure the protection of personal data and privacy when EU institutions and bodies process the personal information of individuals. We advise EU institutions and bodies on all matters relating to the processing of personal information. We are consulted by the EU legislator on proposals for legislation and new policy development. We also cooperate with national supervisory authorities and other supervisory bodies to improve consistency in protecting personal information. In our supervisory role, we monitor and ensure that the EU institutions comply with data protection rules.
