Peter Reitz

Peter Reitz has had an extensive work experience in the energy and financial industry. Peter started their career in 2001 at Eurex and served in various roles, including Member of the Executive board. In 2004, they joined Deutsche Boerse as a Managing Director. In 2007, Reitz became Deputy Chairman of the Supervisory board at the European Energy Exchange AG and later served as Chief Executive Officer and Chairman of the Board. Peter also held leadership positions at Eurex Clearing AG and Eurex Repo GmbH. Reitz further expanded their expertise by serving as Chairman of the Board at EPEX SPOT, Chairman of the board at Nodal Exchange, and Member of the Supervisory Board at APX Group. Currently, Reitz is the CEO of European Commodity Clearing (ECC) and serves as Deputy Chairman of the EPEX SPOT board.

Peter Reitz attended Stanford University Graduate School of Business in 2009, where they completed the SEP program. Prior to that, they studied at Technische Universität Braunschweig from 1984 to 1991, earning a Diplom degree in Mathematics and Betriebswirtschaftslehre. Peter completed their A-Levels at Otto-Hahn Gymnasium Gifhorn from 1983 to 1984, with a focus on Mathematics, Chemics, and Music. From 1975 to 1982, they attended Ratsgymnasium Peine, studying a range of subjects.
