Jon Maidens

Jon Maidens is a seasoned professional with extensive experience in data management and project management within environmental and GIS sectors. Currently serving as a Data Management Expert at the European Environment Agency since August 2018, Jon has previously held senior project management roles at Maersk Oil and COWI, overseeing key projects related to data transfer, governance, and spatial data infrastructure. Prior experiences include significant contributions to various European Commission initiatives and projects at Atkins Danmark a/s, alongside several roles in the early stages of Jon's career within IT development and GIS consultancy. Jon holds a Master's degree in Marine Resource Management from Heriot-Watt University and a Bachelor's degree in Marine Biology from the University of Liverpool.
