Sune Djurhuus

Sune Djurhuus is an experienced professional in data governance and project management, currently serving as an Expert Data Governance at the European Environment Agency since May 2022. Prior to this role, Sune worked as a Chief Project Manager at Ramboll Energy from April 2016 to May 2022, overseeing GIS and IT solutions for utility companies and managing innovation and digitalization projects. Sune also held project management positions at Danske Bank and specialized in GIS project management related to district heating and energy systems. Sune's academic background includes a PhD focused on the relationship between environmental factors and physical activity, completed at the Research Center for Prevention and Health & Aalborg University Denmark, and previous roles include GIS Analyst at Atkins Denmark and Research Assistant at Risoe National Laboratory. Sune holds a Master’s degree in Geography and GeoInformatics from the University of Copenhagen.
