James Greenwood-Lush is a Class Teacher at Southwark Council since September 2022, focusing on Year 5 pupils in a maintained school. In parallel, James operates as a Freelance Consultant through J Greenwood-Lush Consulting, advising clients in higher education and research sectors on equality, inclusivity, and culture change, while also moderating Athena Swan Charter review panels. James serves as an External Expert for the European Institute for Gender Equality, providing expertise in gender mainstreaming. Previous roles include Academic Mentor for primary numeracy, classroom volunteer positions at multiple schools, and significant engagement with Advance HE, where responsibilities included enhancing the Athena SWAN Charter and managing equality charters. James has experience in volunteer coordination and holds a PGCE in Primary Education from UCL and a BSc (Hons) in Anatomy from the University of Glasgow.

EIGE’s unique expert knowledge, research, data and tools help policy makers design measures that are inclusive, transformative and promote gender equality in all areas of life. We communicate our expertise effectively and work closely with partners in order to raise awareness at the EU and national levels, as well as in EU candidate countries and potential candidate countries.
