Alexandra Almeida

Alexandra Almeida has extensive experience in the financial sector, currently serving as a Senior Loan Officer at the European Investment Bank (EIB) since December 2004, where responsibilities span public sector operations in Latin America and the Caribbean, as well as transaction management in project finance. Previous roles at EIB include leadership positions such as Head of the EIB Office in Lisbon and various officer roles focusing on operations in Portugal and financial institutions across Central and South East Europe. Prior to joining EIB, Almeida worked at NOVO BANCO as a Derivatives Specialist and Account/Relationship Manager, and held economic positions at Standard & Poor's. Almeida's educational background includes a leadership program at Harvard Business School, a post-graduation in Finance from Universidade Católica Portuguesa, and a licenciatura in Economics from FEP U. Porto, complemented by studies at EM Normandie Business School and the Conservatoire de la Ville de Luxembourg in piano.
