Carmen Niethammer is a seasoned professional in gender strategy and development, currently serving as a Senior Gender Specialist at the European Investment Bank since June 2021. Niethammer plays an active role in various gender-focused committees, including the EIB Women Climate Leaders Network and the Luxembourg Ministry of Finance's Gender Finance Task Force. Previous experiences include significant leadership roles at the International Finance Corporation, where Niethammer established a major gender program and led initiatives to improve women’s labor force participation and employment strategies. Notable contributions also include serving as Gender Advisor at Odebrecht and leading the IFC Women in Business Program.
