Paula Alegria

Paula Alegria is a seasoned legal professional specializing in procurement and administrative law, currently serving as Senior Legal Counsel at the European Investment Bank (EIB) since November 2017, previously holding the title of Legal Counsel in the same division. Prior to EIB, Paula worked at the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD) from March 2015 to October 2017 as Principal and Deputy Head of Technical Cooperation Operations, providing advisory and compliance expertise to enhance project design and procurement processes. Paula's consultancy experience spans over a decade at Achilles Procurement Services Ltd, where strategic procurement advice was provided to public bodies in Ireland, focusing on compliance with European and national legislation. Education includes a Master of Laws in European Law from Maastricht University and a Bachelor of Laws (Hons) in Irish Law from Griffith College Dublin.
