Catarina Rodrigues

Catarina Rodrigues serves as the Vice President Sport and Head Sport Director for the European Judo Union since December 2012, and holds the position of Member of the "Woman and Sport" Consultive Commission at the Portuguese Olympic Committee since July 2017. Additionally, Catarina has been the Sport Events Director for the Federação Portuguesa de Judo since June 1997. Previous roles include Sport Commission Member for the European Judo Union from 2010 to 2012, Judo Coach at Clube Atletico de Alvalade from 2008 to 2012, and Organizing Committee Member for the Lusophone Games in Lisbon in 2009. Catarina was the Head of the Organization Team for the Judo European Championship 2008 and competed as an athlete from 1985 to 2005, achieving significant accolades including a World Bronze Medal in Munich 2001 and multiple national championships. Lastly, Catarina worked as a Judo teacher at the Universidade Técnica de Lisboa from 2001 to 2004 and holds a degree in Sport Sciences from Faculdade de Motricidade Humana.
