Ignacio Martin-Loeches

Ignacio Martin-Loeches is an accomplished medical professional with extensive experience in intensive care medicine and research leadership. Currently serving as the Chairperson of the Research Committee for the European Society of Intensive Care Medicine since October 2023 and the Chairperson for Critical Care Medicine at the European Respiratory Society since September 2022, Martin-Loeches also holds the position of Professor at Trinity College Dublin and Clinical Team Lead for Organ Donation at the Health Service Executive. As a Consultant in Intensive Care Medicine at St. James's Hospital Dublin, Martin-Loeches has made significant contributions to the field, including past roles as Section Editor for Intensive Care Medicine at Springer Nature Group and Secretary for Acute Critical Care at the European Respiratory Society.
