Michiel Thomeer

Michiel Thomeer is currently the Chief Medical Officer at Ziekenhuis Oost-Limburg (ZOL). In addition to their role at ZOL, Michiel is also a Universitair hoofddocent at UHasselt and a member of the Research Cluster Oncology at BIOMED. Michiel serves as the Secretary of Group - 14.03 - Ultrasound at the European Respiratory Society and is a Member of the biomedical committee at Kom op tegen Kanker. Michiel is also a Member of the Scientific Committee at UBiLim. Throughout their career, Michiel has held various leadership positions and has a strong background in respiratory medicine, with interests in interstitial lung diseases. Michiel holds a PhD in Biomedical Sciences and has undergone extensive postgraduate training in areas such as emergency medicine and transthoracic ultrasonography.
