Irma Barbakadze

Head of American High School at European School

Irma Barbakadze is the head of American High School at the European School. Irma has also worked with Atlas Corps, Georgia Global Connections, East European University, and the European School. In 2012, they became the head of American Education Department at the European School and launched student exchange programs in America. Barbakadze is also the founder of DCF-Georgia (DCFGe) and a program coordinator with the American Councils for International Education.

Irma Barbakadze's educational career consists of a H.H. Humphrey Professional Development Fellowship Program from Penn State University, an Expert in American School Accreditation/Improvement from COGNIA (former AdvancED/NCA CASI), a Ph.D. in Education Administration from Tbilisi Sulkhan-Saba Orbeliani State Pedagogical University, a Diploma of Interpreter in Foreign Languages and Literatures, General from Tbilisi State Institute of Foreign Languages, and a Diploma of Mathematician in Mathematics from Tbilisi State University. Irma also has certification from the National Institute of Educational Planning and Administration (New Delhi, India) in International Diploma in Education Planning and Administration.

Irma Barbakadze reports to Sophio Bazadze, School Director & Director, Georgian Program. Irma Barbakadze works with Marina Chelidze - Head of International Baccalaureate Primary Years Programme (PYP), Nino Kakabadze - Chief Accountant, and Tamar Arabidze - Administrative Manager.
